So today is finally the day The Times (of London) starts charging for access to its web content (and separately, Gannett launched a series of small-scale paywall tests at three of its sites). A recent poll of Times Online readers showed that 76% are “not at all likely to pay for content”. Which begs the question: haven’t the other 24% heard of BBC News, the Guardian, the Independent, the Telegraph, Sky News, etc etc etc etc?
